The Truth About Kenneth R. Foster (Professor of Bioengineering, University of Pennsylvania)

"Kenneth Foster is a scientists quoted in headlines news as discounting the harm caused by wireless radiation.   Yet these news articles do not mention his strong industry ties going back years.  In fact, he is a longtime industry consultant who's received significant amount of money from the industry over the years.

A significant amount of Fosters research in funded by industry,  he is paid by industry to present the industry funded research at conference internationally and he  regularly testifies as the industry health and safety expert in cell tower cases.

Skeptics might believe he's a tool or puppet but regardless, unfortunately for him and the evil industry he supports, experts who are not funded by the industry joined forces to topple the propaganda of the industry spoken via jerks like Kenneth Foster (e.g., see

For example:

His papers are supported by industry. He has long been an industry consultant.

“RADIOFREQUENCY EXPOSURE FROM WIRELESS LANS UTILIZING WI-FI TECHNOLOGY” which states on p. 286,  “Acknowledgments— This work was supported by the Wi-Fi Alliance.” Full-text of study is here

The paper entitled Radiofrequency energy exposure from the Trilliant smart meter

The authors declared no conflict of interest. Yet at the end of the paper it states:

“Acknowledgments- This work was supported by the Electric Power Research Institute EPRI with technical support from Hydro one and Hydro one Brampton.”

The paper “Are Children More Exposed to Radio Frequency Energy From Mobile Phones Than Adults?”concludes that their “review” of published literature shows no consistent difference between adults and children with respect to the peak absorbed dose of microwave (cell phone) radiation. The wording minimizes the fact that children absorb radiation deeper into their brain than adults. Read it here.

“In summary, simple generalizations found on the Internet about ‘‘kids absorbing more RF energy than adults from cell phones’’ aren’t supported by available dosimetry studies. To the extent that children have different usage patterns than adults, there may well be differences in exposure, but such differences are likely to be at exposure levels far below current exposure limits.”

This paper was funded by the Mobile Manufacturers Forum (MMF).

“Publication costs of this paper were supported by Mobile Manufacturers Forum,

who did not review the contents of this paper before publication.”

The paper entitled Wi-Fi and Health: Review of Current Status of Research claims to “examine the current state of research on possible biological effects/health effects of RF energy emitted by Wi-Fi.”

“Acknowledgments: This work was funded by the Wi-Fi Alliance, Washington, DC, and Mobile Manufacturers Forum, Brussels, Belgium.”

Foster has work as an industry consultant for the Telecom, and Energy Industry in smartmeter, cell tower and high voltage powerline issues and he lists Motorola, Bell Atlantic Mobile, Comcast Metrophone, Sprint Spectrum, Omnipoint Cellular Communications, and Electric Power Research Institute on his CV.  An online search finds several examples of Foster presenting as the industry “safety expert” for T Mobile, Towers of PA, AT and T , American Transmission Company, Cingular  in support of cell tower construction.  As another example, he chairs conferences in sessions sponsored by the Industry (See this BIOEM 2016 Conference funded by the Mobile Manufacture Forum.  He also has been an expert witness for schools when children sued for accommodations related to Wi-Fi effects. See Fosters CV.
